Reporting to the VP, Corporate Sustainability, the Director is the second in command on the Corporate Sustainability team and plays a key role in ensuring Aviso meets its sustainability ambitions.

The Director will, in conjunction with the VP Corporate Sustainability, help shape Aviso’s sustainability strategy, and will in turn lead its implementation through the development of a program that undertakes activities in support of the organization’s sustainability objectives.

In doing so, the Director will collaborate with senior leaders across Aviso to ensure these objectives are realistic, achievable, aligned with business priorities and have progress against these objectives tracked and reported. • Collaboration – You work collaboratively with others with the common goal of driving positive results. Making meaningful contributions to your team to achieve organizational goals is a priority. You proactively encourage collaboration, build trust and inclusion, and work to establish effective relationships both inside and outside of the organization
  • Leadership – You lead your team and provide regular direction, guidance, coaching, and motivation, all while striving for peak performance. You assist them in overcoming obstacles through additional resources, removal of roadblocks, and providing the level of support required for their success. You delegate and deliver feedback based on the in-depth understanding of your individual team members

What your day looks like:

You are a highly organized sustainability professional with a strong track record of managing programs and achieving and tracking results. Your value is focused on creating a clear, manageable, and trackable program for implementing Aviso’s Corporate Sustainability strategy and will encompass the following accountabilities:
