Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and organized Marketing and Event Manager to join our team in Vancouver. The role will focus on marketing events and overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of our legal education conferences. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional event experiences. This position will primarily be in-office and in-person during events, with the potential for remote work on non-event days following a performance review.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue booking, catering, accommodations, and logistics.
• Manage event budgets and timelines to ensure financial and scheduling goals are met.
• Collaborate with speakers, sponsors, and stakeholders to ensure all event requirements are fulfilled.
• Conduct research to identify event opportunities and generate innovative ideas for marketing
• Collaborate with internal teams to create event marketing strategies and implement advertising campaigns to attract attendees
• Oversee on-site event operations, including registration, AV setup, and participant support.
• Set up and run live webinars.
• Review invoices and pay event vendors.
• Utilize SEO techniques to promote events and increase visibility
• Manage social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in event management and/or marketing, preferably in the legal or professional education sector.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
• Availability to work event days, primarily in downtown Vancouver from 7:15am-5:00pm (Weekdays only)

Salary:

$55,000-$59,000 per year based on experience.
