Firstech, LLC. was founded in Anchorage, Alaska in 1995 when our founder, Jason Lee, opened an automotive detail and stereo shop. Lee saw an opportunity to create a new brand of remote starters, which offered better features and a more tech-friendly installation experience. This led to the creation of Firstech and the company’s flagship brand: Compustar.

Since relocating to Seattle, Washington in 2003, Firstech has continued to be a leading innovator in the mobile electronics industry, being the first-to-market with several game-changing technologies.

Our Mission

Firstech’s mission is to enhance the safety of every car-owner’s driving experience. This mission is the inspiration for our solutions along with the hands-on training that we perform with retailers across North America to ensure safe and proper installation.

As a result of Firstech’s continued innovation, we’ve been honored with six CES Innovations Awards, seven Mobile Electronics Top Vendor Awards, and an inclusion on Seattle Business Magazine’s “Top 100 Best Places to Work”. We are especially proud of the latter because of our commitment to the health, wellbeing, and success of our employees.
