Here's my story: Growing up, I always had a knack for testing business ideas and marketing strategies. From lemonade stands to lawn mowing services, I was always looking for unique ways to build and scale companies. I soon realized my super power was recognizing opportunities that others couldn’t see yet and finding clever ways to gain advantage. Because of this, I’ve been early to major industry transformations in social media, P2P, IoT, and Blockchain. In the early years, I spent my time helping launch multiple top 10 artists, lifestyle brands, and growth hacking web properties. Over the last 15 years, I’ve raised $50M+ for my own startups and filed 40+ patents across 7 countries. Most recently, I’ve scaled 2 high-growth tech companies from $0 to $20M+ revenue and 7 to 100+ employees. The companies I’ve helped lead have been featured in over 4,000 publications including Mashable, NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Wired, The Guardian, VentureBeat, and TechCrunch. Overall, I'm most known for growth and retention frameworks, creative growth tactics, GTM business strategy, digital marketing, and leading digital transformation in social media, sports, and media. As founder and Co-CEO of Beatdapp, my current focus is on fundraising and scaling our company. Over the last year, we’ve been recognized as a Top 20 Music Company Globally by Crunchbase (Out of Top 10,000), #2 Seed Stage Company in Canada, and selected for "Emerging Rockets List" (2020 & 2021). Our startup team has also graduated from accelerators such as Creative Destruction Labs, 500 Startups and Project Music Portfolio. To say we’ve done this all alone would be a huge understatement. Only through the help of our incredible advisory board (including Rt Hon Stephen Harper, music titan Joe Galatne and Music Rights Expert Priyanka Khimani) and our community tribe have we been able to hit these milestones. Aside from Beatdapp, I've taught 4th year Advertising and Marketing courses at universities for 8 years, currently as a part-time professor at Trinity Western University. Lastly, I’ve mentored dozens of startups in LA, SF, NYC, and Vancouver and invest in 10-15 companies per year.
