Have you ever noticed how often do you employ people for small jobs?

Imagine you are in a cafe. When you order a coffee, you employ a barista for a certain amount of time. If a waiter brings a coffee to your table, there is something in the check for him as well. Let’s not forget about a cleaner of the store, a delivery guy, a water and electricity supplier. So how many people are you employing?

The answer would be hundreds, and we are still counting. The occupations mentioned above are the tip of the iceberg. Think of all the people who contributed — the farmers, the manufacturers, logisticians, warehouse workers, marketing specialists, cafe managers and staff, maintainers, recycling workers  — and it’s again would be the above the water part of the iceberg because all the fields mentioned are related to other fields like insurance companies involved in logistics. All the costs of the beverage you buy are packed into it and the people who are involved got paid. So you employ a huge amount of people, whether you notice it or not, by simply buying a coffee in the store nearby.

And what if we look from the other side — when you are involved in a production process,  the product you offer may be consumed by thousands of people and that would mean that they hire you and pay you without knowing you. It’s not just your boss who hires you but all the people who pay for the product you are related to.

The modern economy made results easier but processes became much more complicated.

The question here is: Do we understand this complexity and what do we do with this understanding? The main point here is that understanding itself is good because we as human beings develop by the ability of understanding.

We use complexity to simplify our lives. In Djobzy we use technologies to simplify the hiring processes, to make it more obvious for both parties. Here you are meeting the essence of the economy, you see how it shapes — the transactions here are face-to-face. We are not simplifying the economy — the economy stays as complicated as it is, but what we are doing is we are making one of its core processes — hiring — clearer and simpler.
