What are Service Packs and How to Use Them?

Among the many useful and unique features of Djobzy, one is Service Packs. In this article, we will talk all about that.

Service Packs are a combination of services where you can bunch up different tasks and present them as one. Sometimes an employee can provide different but closely related services, Service Pack is a way of bringing related services under one umbrella. For example, perhaps I can do Housekeeping, Cleaning, and Babysitting together, so I can create a service pack containing all three of them. Let’s create a Service Pack together and see how it works.

You can set your Service Pack only from your employee's account, so if you are logged in as an employer just switch to your employee profile and we are good to go.

On the Dashboard page of your Employee profile click on the button “Create a New Service Pack”.

You will see the following pop-up.

Here you can select and use your existing Service Packs as a template or create a new one. If you want to use the existing Service Pack as a template, click “Choose Template” and select the one you want to use. As we want to create a Service Pack from scratch, we proceed by clicking “Create a New”, and the following pop-up will appear.

Now, start with the Title of your Service Pack. You can simply write the different tasks you want to include, for instance, you could write “I will do content creation, content curation, and content management”, or “I will do washing, cleaning, and babysitting for 8 hours a day”. Just highlight the tasks you want to perform here, keep in mind that the limit is up to 77 characters for the title.

Next, in the Description box, write a summary of the tasks you just mentioned in the title. Put a little detailed information for the employers to understand your services. Make sure you have described the services and also, your boundaries. For instance, you can write “I can reach your home at 8.30 am - 9.30 am and leave at 4.30 pm - 5.30 pm. I can take care of the house during that time, along with simple chores like dishwashing, and house cleaning. I can take care of your kids (2 kids maximum, under 12 years of age). For your information, I can’t do gardening chores and I expect to leave before 6.00 pm”.

Next, write your rates, you can write both hourly and fixed rates. Also, you can provide the ranges of hourly and fixed rates, your employer can pick a rate of his/her liking. Let me show you the hourly rate and hourly rate’s range first,

You can write one single hourly rate. To add range, click the “Add Range” button. And you can set your lower and upper limits.

Let’s talk about fixed rates. On the right side of the Rate section, you can see a toggle button saying “Show fixed rate”. By the virtue of this feature, you can simultaneously show the hourly rate and the fixed price for your Service Pack.

Just toggle on the button, and it will give you the options to put a fixed rate/the range of your desired fixed rate.

For instance, I think that my Service Pack should take about 8 hours to complete. As I put my hourly rate at $20 - $30, it adds up to $160-$240 as a fixed price for one day.

It is necessary to mention here that all of the different services in a Service Pack may not be of the same rate (let’s imagine house cleaning is $12/hour, dishwashing is $15/hour, and babysitting is $10/hour). It is recommended that you estimate how many hours it will take to do certain tasks, add them all up and pick the average number to put in the boxes. That way, we can keep things fair and simple for everybody.

Once you are done with the rates, click the “Choose category” button at the bottom. In the next pop-up, you will be selecting the categories of the services you have picked up so far.

You can browse through all of the categories but it may be better to use the search box to save time. Just write the names of the services you have included in your Service Pack and select one by one.

Click the “Save and Publish” button. Now, it is live and ready for people to see. You can always come back and edit it or create a new one. Service Pack can be diverse, the possibilities are boundless, you are free to explore and use this feature as you need.
