Drone Box Inc. is a Canada-based company specializing in professional training, aeronautical system development, and R&D dedicated to complex drone operations. Founded in 2012 in Montréal, our expertise is built on over a decade of high-level field experience: BVLOS missions, critical and controlled airspace, large-scale swarms of over 2,000 drones, operations with platforms exceeding 150 kg, and high-stakes projects such as the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This operational background drives our approach to aviation safety, engineering, and innovation.
Our capabilities are recognized by major international authorities. Drone Box is:
• Certified by Transport Canada for advanced operations;
• An EASA/DGAC France–recognized training center (STS-01/STS-02);
• An operational partner of the Indonesian DGCA;
• A contributor to international large-scale projects, including Paris 2024 Olympics.
Drone Box is structured around three strategic pillars:
-
Professional Training
An international training center focused on advanced operations: STS-01/02, BVLOS, CRM, photogrammetry, thermography, FPV, heavy-lift platforms, and high-risk environments. Our programs are trusted by Hydro-Québec, the Ministry of Transport, municipalities, emergency services, and major industrial operators. -
Construction & Engineering
Development of specialized platforms, including C5/C6 drones, FTS systems, multi-sensor integrations, custom payloads, and mission-critical engineering. Our approach blends real operational experience with aeronautical safety principles. - Research & Development
Software and hardware innovation, including IA SORA_SATP, our intelligent compliance and risk-assessment assistant developed with MILA, NRC-IRAP, and European partners. Hardware R&D includes heavy-lift systems, swarm coordination, and complex operational environments.
Our mission: to train, design, and innovate for the most demanding aerial operations
