I am a serial entrepreneur active within multiple infrastructure sectors (Power, Renewables, Water, Mining, and Multi-Family Residential) and currently focused on building Maven Consulting to become a $50M annual revenue organization operating throughout the Americas by 2030. While watching my father run several small businesses during my youth, the seed was planted to become a business owner. I could not resist the excitement and challenge to build a business and the appeal to chart my own path. My first business was sparked by the need to pay my university fees, and the desire to gain more experience within my chosen industry. I started as a hydroelectric maintenance engineer consultant, which led to the birth of my first company MTT Technologies and set me on the trajectory for my career. In my roles as a CEO, Investor, and Director, I interact with, serve, and lead a range of senior leadership and front-line staff. I am attuned to difference-making details. This perspective serves my companies well as I identify markets, plan solutions, determine how to best invest into our operational initiatives, and ultimately take accountably for the satisfaction of our clients. I want to see our clients’ projects built to their level of satisfaction. I want our clients to say the experience of working with us was that they received full value, were treated well, and trust to rely on us again. Through a string of fast-growing companies in engineering, construction, real estate, and technology, I have practiced forethought, creativity, initiative, risk management, and drive. My approach to every business situation is to be honest, real, personable, and professional. This approach has yielded indisputable results. My company Maven Consulting ranked #31 on Maclean’s 2017 Startup 50 list of Canada’s fastest growing new companies and recognized in consecutive years (2019 and 2020) on their Growth 500 list. My company Axia appeared in the national C100 Canadian Technology Success in 2012. I endeavor to realize the growth goals of the companies I manage and invest in, and I am open to taking an interest in other infrastructure development companies and real estate development projects. When I am not busy working, my hobbies are skiing, sailing, running, enjoying Vancouver beaches with my family, and making the best BBQ chicken you’ve ever had!
