I worked for an Indigenous-­led gender rights organization that operated under the premise that everyone has something to learn and something to teach, and this principle governs my life. I have experience in academic, community and clinical settings, with many diverse groups of people and in each of these places in my life and career, I am excited to both learn and teach. I have had many opportunities to learn, unlearn, work and volunteer in many spaces, meet interesting humans, explore the world and feel challenged and inspired. Together these experiences and my education have provided me the opportunity to develop my skillset in many ways, including leadership, project, event and program management, communication, design, and knowledge translation to drive a wide range of results. I’m always looking for opportunities to use these skills for people, policies and organizations I believe in. Professionally, I am currently the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager at Santé Cannabis, a medical and research centre specializing in medical cannabis. There I lead our communications strategy, and oversee our complex regulatory communications policies. I manage a multidisciplinary team, our KPIs and the needs and growth of the department. I’m our company-lead on a nation-wide patient research project with incredible partners from across advocacy and academic spaces. I aim to meet people where they’re at, and gain wisdom from experiences that are different from my own. I’m open and excited to develop new skills and to continually better understand the world I live in, and the land I stand on.
