Description

Summit Diamonds is a jewellery retailer located in downtown Vancouver. The company is highly committed to the satisfaction of its customer and often times goes beyond the call of duty. The company transitioned from being a diamond wholesaler to selling a variety of jewellery directly to the public. To help make the transition successful, Summit Diamonds is looking for an administrative assistant who is able to handle a variety of administrative tasks and act as the owner's right hand person.

The company is looking for an individual to provide full administrative support for the office and good customer service including:

1. File documents, answer and make telephone calls, and maintain a clean showroom
2. Maintain the automated inventory control system including:
• enter new inventory data into the system,
• keep inventory data up to date, and
• take pictures of new and existing items and enter pictures into the system
3. Keep product information in company's website up to date
4. Execute marketing initiatives including :
• email blats,
• customer follow up calls, and
• update customers lists
5. Run Social Media programs including developing and posting content


In addition, the individual will exercise self initiative, have a cheerful disposition, common sense, patience, and a good sense of humor.

Skills you should have for this position include:
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and confident in the use of IT
• Good communication skills with a professional and friendly demeanour
• Excellent organisational skills with proven ability to multi-task
• Experience as an administrator or office assistant in the jewellery industry
• Good social media knowledge
• Good data entry and keyboard skills
• Be very accurate and detail oriented
• Ability to work alone and as part of a small team
• Self-motivated and able to organize own work
• Have a flexible approach to work tasks and able to prioritize those tasks
• Prepared to learn and contribute new ideas

The pay: Commensurate with experience
Performance bonuses: Yes
Vacation: Two weeks
Hours of work: 40 hours, in-person, Monday to Friday

CRITICAL: MUST HAVE 5-10 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN JEWELLERY INDUSTRY
