Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Bubble Tea & Dessert Maker to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing high-quality bubble tea drinks and a variety of desserts, with a keen understanding of popular flavour profiles and the ability to maintain consistency in taste and presentation. This role involves creating a memorable customer experience through expertly crafted drinks and desserts while maintaining a clean, organized and efficient workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of bubble tea drinks, including milk teas, fruit teas, and specialty beverages, following established recipes.
- Make desserts that complement bubble tea offerings, such as puddings, cakes, or Asian-inspired treats, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Experiment with and introduce new drink and dessert recipes to match customer preferences and emerging trends.
- Operate bubble tea machines, blenders, and other kitchen equipment efficiently.
- Manage inventory of ingredients, ensuring freshness and report low stock levels to management.
- Always ensure an organized and sanitary workspace, following health and safety guidelines.
- Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner, offering suggestions and customizations to enhance their experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with at least 1 year in bubble tea preparation and dessert-making, with a strong understanding of flavour combinations and techniques.
- Ability to follow recipes precisely while adjusting to meet customer preferences when necessary.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple orders at once in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with popular bubble tea ingredients (tapioca pearls, jellies, syrups, etc.) and dessert preparation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
Preferred Skills:
- Culinary or pastry training is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Creativity in developing new drink and dessert options to keep the menu fresh and appealing.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to stand for long periods and handle hot and cold beverage machines.
- Flexible schedule, with availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 40 per week
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
