You
- Are comfortable working with project managers to ensure accuracy of cost and financial reporting for projects
- Have experience reviewing T5018 filing documents
- Take pride in ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Are exceptional in oral and written communication and know how to communicate effectively
You will
- Plan, direct and administer all aspects of construction accounting including cash management, job costing, contract management and reporting
- Review and ensure all construction payable invoices have required backups and approvals on a timely basis
- Reconcile monthly construction progress invoices to contracts and approved change orders
- Coordinate with AP for payments; make sure the contract payment and holdback release processes are completed in accordance with the underlying contracts
- Set up new projects in the accounting system (Timberline) and the necessary spreadsheets
- Manage and maintain construction project trial balances and reconcile GL and WIP
- Maintain construction standard job cost reports
- Monitor cash and prepare funding requests to ensure sufficient funds to pay vendors on time
- Prepare project cash flow and cost projections
You have
- A Professional Accounting Designation and/or 3+ years of experience in real estate development or construction accounting preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Timberline (job costing) or Yardi
- Experience with cash management, budgeting and financial reporting
- Proven work experience handling high volumes in a fast-paced work environment with multiple demands
- Prepared monthly construction loan draws and have experience putting together documentation for construction financing

Salary
- Estimated between $70,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience.
