About Us:

SMT Research Ltd, in which the SMT represents “Structure Monitoring Technology” and we are commonly referred to as SMT, creates solution sets that are used for electronic leak detection and building envelope monitoring. We utilize near real-time sensor analysis and remote data collection to allow Engineers, Architects, Building Owners and Researchers to validate designs, materials, and methods, producing more efficient and durable buildings. We assist in shrinking environmental impacts by reducing the frequency of unnecessary roof repairs, by providing quality assurance throughout the construction and restoration process. As we continue to grow, we're seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Digital Media Content Creator.

Job Deion:

We are looking for a creative and skilled individual to manage our social media presence and produce high-quality photo and video content for our construction projects in Vancouver. The ideal candidate will have experience in photography and videography, with a keen eye for detail and composition.

Responsibilities:

  • Visit various construction job sites around Vancouver to capture compelling photo and video content.
  • Use photography and videography techniques to showcase the progress and intricacies of technology in construction projects.
  • Edit photos and videos to enhance quality and storytelling, maintaining consistency with our brand image.
  • Develop creative concepts for social media content that engage our audience and drive brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute content strategies across multiple social media platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into our social media content.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and engage with our online community.
  • Ensure timely delivery of content, adhering to deadlines and scheduling posts for optimal engagement.

Requirements:

  • Experience in photography and videography, preferably with a portfolio showcasing work related to construction, construction technology or similar industries.
  • Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X (Formally known as Twitter).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and multitasking.
  • Willingness to travel to different job sites within Vancouver and occasionally work flexible hours.
  • Knowledge of construction and construction technology terminology and processes is an asset.
