What you should have:

• Red seal journeyman certification
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code
• Strong knowledge of distribution equipment and BC Hydro standards
• Min. 3-5 years experience as Foreman running commercial, institutional, multi unit residential projects

What you will be doing:

• Oversee and manage electrical construction projects from start to finish
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
• Coordinate with other trades and contractors on the job site
• Supervise a team of electricians and provide guidance as needed
• Organize and plan materials for project
• Quality control for the work on site
• Maintain safe working practices and conditions
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues

‍Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of distribution installation and wiring
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and wiring
• Ability to plan and delegate work
• Strong knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, and city bylaws applicable to the electrical work
• Strong planning ability and understanding of branch circuitry
• Strong understanding of lighting and lighting control systems

Nice to have:

• First aid certification
• Fall protection training
• Boom & scissor lift training
