Job Title:

Processor and Retail Sales Assistant

Main Purpose of the Job:

To oversee and execute all aspects of incoming custom orders, repairs and estimates and translate the work order to the goldsmiths, while managing due dates and deadlines. This position is also responsible to assure the finished quality of work orders, and to assist more senior sales associates on the sales floor with providing an excellent customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

● Receive work orders from sales associates and book them into VJS properly

● Review each work order to eliminate possible problems or mistakes in quoted prices

● Assign jobs to Goldsmiths and explain details when required

● Manage due dates so that jobs are completed on time

● Order findings and gems as required for work orders

● Review finished work to assure accuracy and quality of work

● Accurately calculate raw costs of work completed and record in VJS

● Provide clarity on the tasks required, where required

● Assist Senior sales associates on the sales floor when they require information, tools, gift wrap, etc.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of jewellery production, gemstone characteristics and other jewellery related terminology to adequately perform duties described above. Requires a minimum of 3 years customer service and sales experience at a luxury jewellery related level. Must be able to speak English fluently, in order to relay instructions to goldsmiths; knowledge of Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a benefit. Must be able to work independently to achieve job requirements, which may include sitting at a computer. Must be able to move around freely and expediently when required to assist senior associates. Must be able to use a microscope to ensure quality standards are met.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• Secondary School (preferred)
