Description
The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for performing general building and property maintenance. Maintain HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical systems and equipment for multiple locations. Responsible for the upkeep and preservation of IRL Group grounds, buildings, vehicles and tools. Accountable for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.
Job Duties
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on daily equipment and facility such as replacing light bulbs.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Involved in all aspects of building maintenance requirements for all new construction, renovations or updates to current systems.
- Coordinate and monitor contractor activities for projects.
- Work with site-wide sub-trades to ensure compliance to any construction, renovation, or updates.
- Update project information and maintain project files.
- Support department management, project managers and consultants as required.
- Update and maintains information in IRL Group’s vehicle and tool fleets
- Set priorities for preventative maintenance work orders, maintenance requisitions and scheduled work.
- Perform deliveries when needed
- Complete all necessary reports and records related to the department as required.
- Prepare, paint and decorate interior and exterior surfaces as required.
- Operate grounds-keeping power equipment and maintain external property as required.
- Perform minor construction work, e.g., dismantling and erecting walls, finish carpentry work, pouring concrete, etc.
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain various electrical components, appliances and equipment in accordance with pertinent codes, the preventative maintenance program and departmental procedures.
- Troubleshoot, install, and repair basic plumbing fixtures, piping, and related equipment.
- Perform mechanical and preventative maintenance work on equipment as per preventative maintenance manual, e.g., circulating pumps, air handling systems, and refrigeration etc.
- Responsible for snow removal and ice safety.
- Organize invoices and receipts to be submitted to the accounts department.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- Strong working knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry work
- Must have a clean Class 5 drivers licence
- Available to work weekends and on call as needed
- Team player
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Comfortable with working across the Lower Mainland and up to Squamish
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: From $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week

- Carpentry: 2 years (preferred)
