Job Summary

The senior full-stack developer is responsible for leading the development team to create software products that meet corporate objectives. A senior developer can oversee multiple projects at once or a single large-scale project while mentoring other developers and guiding their growth. The person in this position seeks accountability and is willing to put in extra effort to exceed expectations. A senior developer has an expert command of technology and has mastered the development tools used at T2 Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Participates and leads development teams to build best in class software for the parking industry with little or no supervision.
  • Consistently maintains success during their participation in all aspects of the product development life cycle.
  • Ensures that projects are conducted in ways that benefit the project objectives, project team members, as well as T2 Systems' long-term interests.
  • Provides estimates for design specifications and is accountable for these estimates with the goal of improving the accuracy of estimates.
  • Interacts with customers to gather information, provide education, give status updates, and communicate relevant project-related activities.
  • Provides recommendations on architecture direction, product direction, and developments tools.
  • Works closely with other departments to write design documents that will solve business problems and ultimately benefit customers.
  • Proactively participates in design, code, and product reviews.
  • Proposes design approaches for review and agreement from peers or supervisor.
  • Produces quality tested product enhancements to T2's software products.
  • Ensures competency in all code-centered, detailed-design centered, and task-centered areas is current.
  • Willing and capable of resolving WI (Bugs) in code developed by others.
  • Consistently renders clear technical judgment and routinely considers architecture-level and project planning issues.
  • Works with Product Support to provide development that addresses customers' issues.
  • Consistently demonstrates innovation and imagination to go beyond assigned tasks.
  • Craves accountability on the quality and timeliness of delivered outputs.
  • Mentors other developers and promotes sound technical skills.
  • Committed to self-study to maintain or increase technical abilities.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement, efficiency at scale and automation.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position will act as a team lead on various projects. This position requires a comfort level with leadership that towards ensuring other developers are producing quality code. This position has the authority to determine the corrective action needed to achieve desired outcomes. A senior developer should consistently enable those around them to do their best work.

 

 

Education and Qualifications

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • A bachelor's or master's degree plus 5 years or more development experience.
  • Mastery of Visual Studio and related development tools. This mastery should extend into architecture, user interface design and implementation, and project planning.
  • Has 2 or more years of experience as part of an agile development team.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of T2's software products, services, and processes is required which can be obtained through intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the parking industry is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Expert knowledge of Visual Studio with a special emphasis on C#.
  • Expert knowledge of the .NET. or JAVA
  • Expert knowledge of the Atlassian toolset, especially JIRA and BitBucket(Git).
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle, and advanced knowledge of other database platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Angular/TypeScript or similar front-end frameworks.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of development team members.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to work across a development team to keep projects on track.
  • Ability to stay on the leading edge of technology trends.
  • Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders and colleagues across departments.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations, routine reports, and proposals.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and tactfully negotiate priority with end users.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed.

 

Compensation: $110000- $120000 CAD
