We’re Tinker Troll Games, a small indie TTRPG and board game design company based in Nanaimo. We’re gearing up to launch our first game called Epic Brick Adventures with a Kickstarter launch in the spring. We’re hiring a local, in-person collaborator who can help us polish our website built using Groove.cm and run social media marketing campaigns with a launch-focused mindset.

Role Overview
- Title: Web Designer & Social Media Marketer (If you don't do both rolls, you can apply for just one position. Just mention which you are applying for.)
- Type: Part-time contract (with potential to grow)
- Location: Work from Home with In-person meetings in Nanaimo, BC (ability to meet face-to-face is essential)
- Pay: $25/hour to start

What You’ll Do
Web Design (Using Groove.cm)
- Design, build, and optimize pages directly in Groove.cm (no add‑ons required). If you a not familiar with Groove, be a lightning fast learner to grab the Groove.cm tools and run with them like a pro!
- Set up high-converting marketing funnels (landing pages, lead magnets, opt-ins, email sequences).
- Build and maintain Groove.cm Online Store for product orders and future sales.
- Implement clean navigation, mobile-friendly layouts, and consistent brand visuals.
- Create and manage analytics-friendly tracking and A/B tests.
- Maintain site content, troubleshoot issues, and iterate based on performance.

Social Media & Kickstarter Prep
- Plan and execute a pre-launch content calendar across key platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X/Twitter, Reddit/communities).
- Produce engaging, on-brand content (short-form video, carousels, reels, behind-the-scenes).
- Grow and engage our audience; manage comments, DMs, and community touchpoints.
- Coordinate newsletter and social synergy to drive signups to the Kickstarter pre‑launch page.
- Track campaign performance and report actionable insights.

You’re a Great Fit If You
- Live in or near Nanaimo, BC and can meet in person regularly.
- Have hands‑on experience with Groove.cm (funnels, online stores, email automations, and page builder).
- Understand DTC marketing funnels and CRO fundamentals.
- Have social media marketing experience for product launches (Kickstarter experience is a big plus).
- Can create simple, effective visual assets and short-form video content.
- Are organised, data‑curious, and comfortable iterating quickly.
- Love TTRPGs, board games or at least enjoy playful creative projects.

Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with basic copywriting for landing pages and ads.
- Email marketing and segmentation familiarity (within Groove.cm).
- Experience engaging with tabletop/game communities and influencers.
- Light photo/video editing skills.
