We are looking for a proactive team player, who values quality work and long-term relationships to fill the role of Accounting and Administrative Coordinator.
This position is full-time, permanent, with the opportunity to grow and be promoted within the company for the right individual. This role would be suitable for someone with an accounting or administrative background looking to gain valuable experience.
The Accounting and Administrative Coordinator works closely with the Office Manager to keep administrative and accounting workflows running smoothly. The successful individual will be responsible for general office administration, reception, and all-round organizational support for the team. Our ideal candidate would be an outgoing team-player and effective communicator, with a high level of professionalism. We are looking for a detail-oriented person who works proactively to complete tasks, problem solve with some autonomy, with a strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment. Excellent English (oral and written) communication skills is a must.

Work Responsibilities:
- The weekly workload for this position varies depending on the skillset and experience of the candidate, and on their desire to assume varying levels of responsibility.
- Office filing and organization
- Data entry
- Basic accounting
- Reception (answering phones, greeting clients/guests, receiving deliveries etc.)
- Provide administrative support for the team
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of related experience in bookkeeping and accounting
- Strong understanding of AP/AR/GST/Remittances/Reconciliations/Payroll
- Proficient computer skills and be comfortable with using digital platforms
- Exceptionally detail-oriented skillset
- Ability to problem-solve with some autonomy, as well as work closely with our Office Manager
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English, with a high level of professionalism
Assets
- Experience in customer service an asset
- Experience in Quickbooks is an asset
- Experience in HR an asset
- Experience in the Residential Design Build industry or related field is an asset.
Full-time hours: 40 per week
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
