Our project base is very diverse; from commercial tenant improvement opportunities in restaurants, banks, offices, theaters, government buildings; institutional work in schools, hospitals, correctional facilities; light industrial work in aircraft maintenance facilities, warehousing and food processing plants; to our division for specialized fire alarm upgrades and replacements, and an expanding service department.

The majority of our work is currently in the lower mainland but out of town opportunities arise around the province and country on a regular basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform electrical work as required
• Perform quality installs meeting company and code standards
• Complete accurate and detailed paperwork
• Proactively assess risks and develop plans to align with safety regulations; ensure a safe and healthy work environment
• Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Commercial Experience
• Apprentices are ITA registered and completed at least Level 1 of technical training from a recognized Electrical Foundational Program.
• Strong written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills
• Attention to safety, attitude for success and working toward having a mix of technical skills, work experience and academic skill
• Actively pursuing completion of apprenticeship to obtain Red Seal Journeyperson certificate.
• Excellent service, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and work with multiple deadlines
• Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract and no restrictions

WORK SCHEDULE:

• Full Time
• 8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday

PAY RATE:

• $24.00 - $40.00 DOE

Action Electric provides ongoing company sponsored training and certifications. There are opportunities for advancement into Lead Hand and Foreman roles.
