Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our team at The Sharp Knife Catering Co. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in food preparation and ensuring the kitchen is clean and organized. The ideal candidate has experience in the food industry, is detail-oriented, and works well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats
- Follow recipes and portion sizes accurately
- Ensure all food items are properly stored and labelled
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation

Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar food service establishment
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Team management skills are a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
