Clinical Manager Position

The Clinical Manager position is focused on running a busy and successful medical practice. This includes overseeing the staff, making schedules, monitoring and setting budgets, implementing policies, and speaking with patients regarding patient care. On a high level, this position will help create processes and procedures, ensure they are enforced, and most importantly fully hold the team accountable. The Clinical Manager is an integral part of the practice, providing excellent communication between patients and the medical team.
This ideal candidate has years of CLINICAL experience, a strong medical knowledge base, technical and psychomotor skills, exemplary judgment and the ability to assist in organization and coordination of patient care management. For example, someone who was previously a nurse or worked in a medical clinic is ideal.

A Day In The Life of A Clinical Manager
- Provide administrative support and oversee the hiring, onboarding and training of new staff
- Optimize labour utilization
- Manage staff availability and fill in vacancies as necessary
- Develop protocols and procedures to improve staff productivity
- Liaise with patients and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans
- Identifying opportunities to to enhance or fulfill a clinic's overall strategic plan
- Develop and execute business development activities
- Ensuring a clinic's compliance with the standards set by licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies
- Interface between Clinic Directors and external vendors, medical clinics, and/or business partners
- Be the point person for higher level concerns
- Provide supervision and serve as a resource for clinic staff
- Manage Doctors' calendars including meetings and other non-patient care clinic-related activities
- Oversee daily sales transactions and billing reconciliation
- Manage and ensure working order of technological systems and medical equipment

Requirements:
- Managerial experience in outpatient based healthcare or related field
- Bachelor's degree or higher at an accredited institution
- Strong command of the English language (spoken and written)
- Previous experience as nurse, medical office assistant or other medical professional as asset
