Bigfoot Crane Company Inc. is seeking a full-time Simulator Training Instructor to join our Training Academy team at the head office in Abbotsford, BC. The successful candidate will report to the Training Academy Manager and be responsible for providing crane and heavy equipment simulator training and operator evaluations for our private and corporate clients. We’re hiring an instructor who is reliable, experienced, knowledgeable, patient, and looking for a rewarding career as an educator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
• Quote creation and sales
• Responding to customer inquiries
• Work with manufacturer on troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Assist in software update installations and ensure equipment is functioning correctly
• Ensure training is up to date with regulatory changes for the different equipment types
• Stay connected with Academy Admin to ensure scheduling is accurate
• Identify new revenue opportunities
• Provide innovative ideas to improve customer experience
• Instructor for:

o Crawler, Mobile, Boom Truck, Tower and Luffing Tower Crane Simulator Training

o Wheel Loader, Backhoe, Dozer, Excavator and Haul Truck Simulator Training

• Give presentations to promote our services to companies and associations
• Ensure clients always receive “Legendary Service”
• All other duties assigned.

Character and Skills:

• Three (3) years crane or heavy equipment operating experience
• Fluent English, excellent grammar, and manners
• Strong computer and math skills
• Microsoft Office Suite Experience
• Crane or Heavy Equipment Certification is considered an asset
• Previous Training Experience is considered an asset
• Positive, outgoing, adaptable, and team oriented
• Strong communication skills (email, phone call & in person conversations)
• Highly organized, detail-oriented personality (The type of person that is always early & prepared)
• Passionate for the industry and sharing experiences/knowledge
• A natural leader who inspires people
• Comfortable speaking in front of up to 10 people at a time
• Energetic, very patient, and possess the endurance to speak for extended periods
• A self-starter that can work with minimal supervision
• A “the right way is the only way” mentality
• Clear communication and public speaking skills
• Able to give negative feedback to students when required
• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Demonstrate consistent reliability and responsibility
• Passionate about researching and learning new technology
• Ability to contribute positively in a team environment
• Passionate about continued learning and professional development

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
