Arkay Contracting is hiring for a variety of construction related roles throughout the Lower Mainland, BC. We are a construction services provider operating since 2003. We primarily work on residential high rise / low rise buildings and townhome communities. We are looking for construction professionals that have at least 2 years of experience working in a new construction environment.

Roles we are hiring for:

Construction cleaners / labourers (familiar with proper detailed construction cleaning, installing flooring protection, appliance protection and using a variety of cleaning tools and products. WHMIS is helpful)

Carpenters (Framers, finishers, forming)

Detailers / Polishers (Painting, caulking & silicone, drywall repairs, hard surface repairs)

Deficiency Carpenters (Detailer skills listed above as well as appliance installation, electrical & plumbing work, hardware installs, general handyman work)

Requirements:

- Must be able to demonstrate a decent fluency in English to understand instructions from supervisors & participate in safety related content either verbally or written

- Must own proper construction PPE. Hard hat, steel toe boots, and a safety vest at minimum. If you have your own work gloves, glasses, fall protection harness, those are all bonus's.

- Must have a valid Canadian SIN# and work permit if necessary.

- Must have a cell phone with a data plan to receive / participate in company safety training programs

Nice-to-have's (Not required)

- OFA Lvl 1/2/3

- Current fall protection training certificate

- Operator tickets (Hoist, Scissor lift, man lift, skid steer, telehandler, elevator ticket, TCP)

Compensation:

Starting compensation varies depending on the role you are hired for, and are always depending on skills, tickets and experience.

Cleaners / General Labourers - $22 - $25 per hour

Carpenters - $32 - $35 per hour

Detailers / Polishers - $27 - $30 per hour

Deficiency Carpenters - $31 - $33 per hour
