Harvey McKinnon Associates is a respected direct response fundraising company. We help charities raise funds, particularly through digital and direct mail campaigns and communications.

You and your role:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated digital professional to join our creative team. You’ll have direct responsibility for the design and execution of social media campaigns, landing pages, emails, and websites. All while creating an engaging and dynamic user experience.
An ideal candidate will be a creative thinker who is eager to work as part of a team. We will welcome and expect you to join our creative brainstorm sessions and share ideas on how our concepts can work across digital platforms.
This is a 4-month, part-time contract position. Freelancers will also be considered.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Ability to handle a variety of digital projects from concept to completion.
- Formal web design education (or equivalent experience) and at least 3 years’ workplace experience.
- Knowledge of best practices in UI/UX design.
- Working knowledge in HTML and CSS (able to understand code as well as write some of your own). Experience with Visual Studio Code or other comparable coding platforms.
- Up-to-date working knowledge of: Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, Figma, Wordpress, and other content management systems.
- Experience with email design and deployment (HTML, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.).
- Ability to create responsive websites, landing pages, and microsites and adhere to mobile-first design principles.
- Experience with designing, implementing, and managing social media campaigns and the strategy that goes along with it (Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Knowledge of Google Analytics and best practices for SEO and AODA Compliance.
- Experience with After Effects and creating videos, motion graphics, and animated gifs.
- Ability to proof your own work and exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience in direct response design a strong asset.
- Experience working with not-for-profit clients a strong asset.

Design software can be provided if needed.
Location: Home-based. Our staff work remotely throughout Ontario and British Columbia and we are open to locations across Canada.
