Reports to: Channel Manager
Summary (Purpose or Mission): The Distribution Development Specialist is responsible for supporting the sales efforts, processes, and growth of the distributors. They will establish regular communication efforts and maintain sales processes, to attain consistency and positive results.
Location: Vancouver
Travel Expectation: 20%
Duties of this Job Include:
- Follow prescribed corporate, sales channel, and BSC strategies established for the profitable growth and development of the distribution sales channel.
- Support the processes approved by the Director of Sales, which lead to the target achievement of the sales channel.
- Provide performance analysis on assigned distributors.
- Assist District Sales Manager and Channel Manager with development of objectives and/or policies.
- Actively participate in the preparation and presentation of information for internal Festo Corporation meetings and National Distributor Meetings.
- Assist in the preparation for Distributor Council meetings and support follow-up on action items.
- Ensure the educational development of assigned distributors by providing and/or coordinating necessary training programs to ensure Sales and Support personnel are proficient with Festo and Fabco products and resources.
- Assist the Channel Manager or Distribution MarCom Manager in the development and coordination of marketing activities related to Distribution.
- Actively coordinate and participate in Sales Action Planning associated with assigned distributor’s customer base to achieve sales growth targets.
- Maintain Mosaic CRM data to allow for accurate report generation for District Sales Manager or Industry Segment Manager via SAP Reporting Tools.
- Assist in the development/coordination of sales processes and finance/operational procedures to increase efficiencies at both Festo and distributors.
- Assist in the development and coordination of operational procedures to increase company’s market intelligence. This includes, but is not limited to, POS data, sales/buying structure of distributors, dealers, and ultimately the final customer.
- Excellent hands-on knowledge of Festo IT Tools and their capabilities to utilize and transfer knowledge.
- Manage sales campaigns at assigned distributors to achieve corporate/sales goals of company.
- Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- 5-10 years related sales experience and/or training is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in science, or a technical diploma in Mechatronics.
- Experience with Distributors & familiarity with multi-channel Team Selling.
- Ability to develop spreadsheets, business plans & strategic plans.
- Knowledge of industry segments such as Food & Packaging, Automotive, Forestry, Mining & Petro Chemical would be considered an asset.
- Excellent client service skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt and change to a continuously evolving market.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously with quality and efficiency.
- Ability to focus on deadline and deliverables.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Enjoys working in a hybrid work environment (remote and in office).

Salary: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
