We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook Leader to join our dynamic kitchen team at Malones Taphouse. As a Line Cook Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, leading a team of line cooks to deliver exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of line cooks, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Train and mentor line cooks, providing guidance on cooking techniques, presentation, and food safety protocols.
• Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours while optimizing labor costs.
• Monitor food quality and presentation, conducting regular inspections to maintain consistency and excellence.
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering ingredients and minimizing waste.
• Address any issues or conflicts that arise in the kitchen, maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to coordinate food preparation and ensure timely service.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

• 5 + years of proven experience as a line cook in a high-volume restaurant or food service establishment.
• Previous leadership experience preferred, with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and consistency.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Food Handler's certification or equivalent required.
