forest inventory GIS and remote sensing

Description

I am currently an associate professor at the University of Shahrekord (Iran), and have had 12 years of teaching and research experience in natural resources sciences in the field of forest sciences. During my research, I have been very interested in research in spatial sciences using remote sensing and GIS. Based on my experiences in the field of applying new techniques in the study of change and monitoring of forest, and considering the importance of climate and its impact on forest, I have a great desire to continue my research in this field. I was also fortunate enough to have the knowledge for researching tropical forests (the Caspian region) as MSc and PhD student in the Department of Forest Sciences of the University of Tehran; and also be a faculty member at Shahrekord University, whose forests (Zagros forest) are ancient and historic. I find that my professional experience as a researcher gives me a broad view that is useful in helping students with projects and assignments. These experiences have built my confidence and interest in teaching, and I look forward to the opportunity to not only teach existing courses but also develop new ones.
