Description
We are a family-owned Japanese restaurant looking for a full time head sushi chef. The job duties include:
Creating new recipes, to prepare meals and specialty foods;
Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food;
Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff;
Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards;
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food;
Maintain records of food costs, consumption and inventory.
*Language: English (Japanese language is an asset however not required)
*Sushi & Culinary experience: (minimum 5 years)
*Work location: on site. (No option to work remotely)
*Compensation: $35/hour
