About The Role
The School of Medicine invites applications for a dynamic leader to join our team as the Manager, Faculty Affairs.
The Manager, Faculty Affairs provides leadership and strategic support for all faculty-related processes and initiatives within the School of Medicine and ensures the smooth execution of relevant policies, programs and procedures, while fostering an equitable, inclusive and supportive work environment.
If you have strong knowledge about faculty operations including recruitment, onboarding, development, labour relations, wellbeing, engagement, and strategic planning to support institutional goals., we encourage you to apply.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, qualities or core competencies to be successful in the role:
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Strong proficiency in professional and business writing.
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering high-quality customer service.
- Proven experience in labour relations, including interpreting and applying collective agreements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field with Human Resources Certification such as CHRP, SHRM or similar is preferred. Five years of related experience in faculty affairs, human resources or academic administration or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience managing faculty appointments, promotions, and tenure.
- Proven expertise in labour relations and collective agreement interpretation.
- Ability to advise senior leadership on faculty-related matters.
- Skilled in data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
