Description
Triangle Retail Media is looking for an experienced Manager, Data Science to lead our talented group of data scientists focused on Triangle Retail Media. This new role involves overseeing the development and implementation of advanced data science and data engineering solutions to drive business insights from digital advertising campaigns. You will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of our analytics efforts while ensuring high-quality delivery of data products.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists and data engineers to achieve business objectives efficiently
- Drive the implementation of machine learning models that measure the incremental impact of digital advertising campaigns, media spend and channel performance
- Supervise the creation of predictive models to identify audiences for digital brand marketing campaigns
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of ETL processes for accurate digital advertising campaign reporting
- Ensure the scalability and robustness of statistical and machine learnings models to support growing analytics needs, contributing to ongoing enhancement of MLOps and DevOps pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional data science and business teams including marketing, engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to integrate data science understanding into business processes
- Communicate complex data findings clearly to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders at various levels within the organization
- Promote best practices in coding standards, testing, documentation, workflow automation, version control (CI/CD), etc., within the team
- Stay updated on new technologies/tools in the field of data science and assess their potential application within our tech stack
What You Bring
- Proven experience managing a team of data scientists and data engineering professionals in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in data science, analytics and/or measurement within retail media, digital media, marketing or advertising
- Strong educational background in computer science, data science, statistics, or related fields. Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) are preferred but not mandatory if compensated by relevant experience
- Extensive hands-on experience with Python (including libraries like NumPy and Pandas), SQL; familiarity with TensorFlow/PyTorch is advantageous
- In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud data tools such as BigQuery, Vertex AI; hands-on experience with cloud solutions (GCP and Azure) & visualization tools (Looker)
- Ability to build teams that are curious, engaged and resourceful, with a can-do attitude
- Excellent leadership qualities including strong interpersonal skills for effectively mentoring your team & collaborating across departments/teams towards shared goals
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights/recommendations tailored for varied audiences from peers through senior executives
