Primary Location: Burnaby, BC (Head Office)

Position Summary:

As a Product Marketing Specialist reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing comprehensive product marketing strategies for our Microsoft ERP solution offerings. Your responsibilities will span from defining market positioning and messaging to overseeing successful product launches, driving market excitement through targeted campaigns, conducting marketing research, and enhancing sales enablement efforts. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will ensure consistent product messaging and positioning.

As a Product Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for:

Product Marketing Strategy:

• Develop and execute product marketing strategies for Binary Stream solutions on Dynamics GP, Business Central, and Finance and Operations.
• Partner with product management and sales leaders to define market positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans.
• Create a product market strategy plan to map needs with target markets and analyze the market segments to actively pursue. Ensure that the targeted segments are large enough to support the current and future business of the product.
• Cultivate effective communication with product managers, organizing dedicated sessions for insights exchange, ensuring alignment between product documentation and marketing messaging for accurate technical information dissemination.

Product Launches:

• Oversee the success of product launches by developing launch plans and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Generate awareness and market excitement through supporting the development of targeted marketing campaigns.
• Support the development of pricing strategy, revenue models and price testing. Contribute to product content (webinars, blogs, eBooks, etc.) to influence customers, buyers, industry specialists, research analysts, key editors in the press and other third parties.

Sales Enablement:

• Maintain existing sales collateral aligned with industry verticals and stay updated on market trends to enhance collateral effectiveness.
• Produce standard product presentations and demo s that can be used by the sales team in a typical sales process.
• Establish and maintain a centralized content repository accessible to the sales team, ensuring continuous relevance.
• Proactively engage with the sales team to gather insights, feedback, and firsthand customer knowledge, informing the refinement of marketing strategies and content.
• Leverage sales team insights to tailor content for specific customer needs and preferences, providing feedback to the marketing team.

Market Strategy & Analysis:

• Understand market challenges and align organizational strengths effectively.
• Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and gather customer insights.
• Monitor evolving trends in the ERP market, recommend strategies, and contribute to refined product messaging.

Technical Skills and Other Requirements:

• Proficiency in creating compelling product marketing strategies and sales materials.
• Cross-functional collaboration expertise (Sales and Product).
• Solid writing skills with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
• Market analysis experience with a data-driven decision-making approach.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Google Productivity Suite, HubSpot, and Asana project management.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of B2B product marketing experience in a software company.
• Proven success in developing and executing nuanced product marketing strategies.
• Proven experience in launching new products and features into the market.
• Experience running educational and marketing campaigns for new technology.
• Proficiency in creating compelling product marketing strategies and sales materials.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Specific experience in developing content for accounting solutions or ERP software, especially Dynamics ERP (F&O, BC, or GP).
• Awareness of Microsoft's industry direction, market trends, and strategic positioning.
• Familiarity with the Pragmatic Marketing framework.

Compensation Package:

At Binary Stream, we know compensation is important to our people. To stay competitive with our pay and benefits, annually we collect and analyze industry benchmarking data from the technology sector across Canada. This data is used to regularly update our salary ranges.

Pay Range for new hires: 67,700 CAD – 81,200 CAD

Pay Range Insights: This pay range signifies the minimum and maximum for a new hire in this role. The pay we offer a successful candidate will be determined by factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and experience. In exceptional cases, the compensation we offer may fall outside this range.
