We are currently seeking applications for contract positions for an experienced Quality Inspector Supervisor position in Burnaby BC, with a minimum of a Level II CWB Visual Inspection certificate.

The position requires a certified individual with experience managing a team that inspects and executes small to medium-sized projects from beginning to end . In addition to inspection, the ideal candidate will have experience coordinating NDE inspections, managing document turnover, and supervising activities to ensure compliance to Lorneville's quality management program in the field.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Managing a
• Pre-planning activities such as assigning applicable WPS, work packages, ITPs, etc
• Management of records and completion of turnover package
• Managing and implementing the Site Quality Plan, project-specific procedural documents ITPs and other construction-related documents
• Preparing and managing NCRs related to construction deficiencies or anomalies
• Assembly and acceptance of associated quality records into the turnover package
• Technical understanding of ASME B31.1, B31.3, and IX and the Tech Safety BC jurisdiction requirements
• Field inspection and work planning
• Coordinating and overseeing all required inspection and testing requirements, including the timing and arranging of inspections with external NDE contractors
• Effective time management
• Contractor management
• Technical writing and field inspection reporting skills
• Project and process quality control monitoring
• Communicate with team members to obtain information about quality control issues

Qualifications

• CWB certified Level II Welding Inspector
• Technically competent in the application of applicable codes, standards, and provincial/federal regulations related to ASME B31.1, B31.3

· Ability to perform physically demanding activities that may involve moving, setting up, and operating inspection equipment

· A proven ability to work in high-stress and fast-paced environment.

· Self-directed with Strong leadership skills.

Assets:

• Non-destructive testing or API certifications
• Understanding of welding procedures and performance qualification

Local candidates are preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: From $50.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

• Burnaby, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

• CWB Level II Welding Inspector (required)
