Internally titled: Outside Sales Manager

Location: 530 West Broadway, Vancouver BC, Canada
Core hours: Monday to Friday from 8am – 4:30pm PST

We value collaboration, both in-person and remotely. This position is classified as Remote under our Hybrid Work Program Policy, where this position will work primarily from a home office with occasional in-person attendance.

Role Summary
As the Sales Team Manager, you will provide key sales & service to the Spas & Salons (Resellers/Spa Partners) in the United States and Canada where Eminence product is sold B2B through retail shelves and professional spa services. You are responsible for driving optimal company-wide service and sales results in the United States and Canada through a Team of 4-7 Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs) who each run separate territories; each territory containing 300-650 authorized Spa Partners. As the Sales Team Manager, you will operate from the Vancouver Central Office and will work alongside 7 Sales Team Managers. You are directly responsible for the performance of a team of Outside Sales Representatives located across Canada and the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Create annual sales forecasts for each territory of assigned Outside Sales Representatives (OSR) and lead quarterly reviews to ensure each territory’s sales are achieving forecasted targets and key goals
  • Provide coaching and conduct periodic one-on-one meetings in selected territories where sales are behind forecast
  • Discuss territory performance issues promptly with OSRs and supportively manage the performance improvement process
  • Ensure that the Eminence Loyalty Program and other sales tools are leveraged in each territory (with the assistance of the Sales & Loyalty Program Manager)
  • Visit a minimum of 4-5 OSRs per year in their territories and 1-2 industry tradeshows per year
  • Ensure that the New Accounts opened by OSRs are consistent with the Eminence brand
  • Manage the achievement of the monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for Existing Accounts and New Accounts in assigned Territories
  • Ensure that each Spa Partner situation has been handled professionally and punctually by the Outside Sales Team and follow up on escalated Spa Partner situations until resolved
  • Answer sales and service questions from Inside Sales Representatives and assist in forging the most effective partnership with their assigned OSR
  • Contribute actively to meetings relating to Sales Programs, Launches, Forecasting, and Sales Contests, and provide improvement ideas in the weekly Sales Leader meetings to provide the best support and service to our Outside Sales Team and our Spa Partners
  • Partner in the attraction and selection of new OSRs and assist OSRs to hire and train within their territory
  • Present & facilitate as needed at the Eminence Annual Business Conference to train OSRs in sales improvement techniques (July 19-21, 2024)


Qualifications

  • Management of a Team of Outside Sales Representatives - minimum 2 years
  • Experience as an Outside Sales Representative / Account Executive - minimum 4-5 years
  • Sales Technique Training & Coaching to Sales Representatives - minimum 2 years
  • Management of a commissioned Sales Team - minimum 2 years
  • Experience as a commissioned Sales Representative - minimum 2 years preferred
  • Background in the Esthetic or Health & Beauty industry - preferred
  • Wholesale/B2B sales experience - preferred
  • Retail sales and merchandising experience – an asset
  • Superior leadership skills, sales coaching and training skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills (especially MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), and verbal and written communication skills
