Description

Opportunity:

The Mel Jr. & Marty Zajac Foundation was first incorporated in 1987 by Mel Zajac to honour the memory of his two sons who tragically lost their lives. Since inception, the organization’s mandate has been to support innovative community projects focused on developing lifelong skills and independence for individuals from communities facing barriers.

Our primary focus is the incredible Zajac Ranch for Children located in Mission, BC. In the summer months, The Ranch provides camps for children and young adults with chronic, life-threatening and/or debilitating medical conditions. These experiences give participants the opportunity to explore the outdoors while developing greater social and environmental awareness, increased self-confidence and positive growth. Thanks to our generous donors, more than 6,500 campers have built life-changing memories since 2004.
