Overview: We are seeking an experienced and driven Software Development Project Manager to oversee and deliver software projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software development, coupled with strong project management skills and leadership capabilities. As a Software Development Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, managing project timelines and resources, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

• Work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with development teams to execute project tasks according to plan.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

• Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between team members and stakeholders.

Risk Management and Issue Resolution:

• Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Proactively address challenges and obstacles to keep projects on track.
• Escalate critical issues to management as needed, providing recommendations for resolution.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

• Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
• Coordinate testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Monitor and track defects, facilitating their resolution in a timely manner.

Project Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
• Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, communicating progress, milestones, and risks.
• Prepare post-project reviews and lessons learned reports to identify areas for improvement.

Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and requirements, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Engage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, soliciting feedback and addressing concerns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Software Development Project Manager, managing complex software projects from initiation to delivery.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project, Asana).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Skills:

• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM).
• Experience with software development practices and technologies (e.g., Java, Python, .NET).
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Understanding of software architecture and design principles.

Salary: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
