ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

This role reports to Kent Mullinix, ISFS Director.

SUMMARY

The research assistant will assist ISFS research associate(s) in all aspect of the research process including conducting literature review, analyzing data, and reports preparation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct literature review
• Analyze primary and secondary data as required
• Prepare reports, briefs and communications as required
• Attend research team meetings and stakeholder meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor degree in agriculture, policy studies, economics, geography or related fields
• Some awareness of British Columbia’s food systems
• Ability to think critically
• Strong sense of initiative
• Ability to effectively and independently manage time and produce high quality work within project deadlines
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as a team member
• Positive, professional and collaborative attitude and demeanor

Salary Information

$25 per hour
