OUR TEACHERS

Our teachers are committed to nurturing and inspiring every child they care for. We support them to do this through professional development and staff meetings. All our staff a fully licensed and qualified ECE professionals with up to date First Aid and CRC.

OUR PROGRAM

At Rising Sun Montessori Daycare, we believe that every child learns best in an environment that nurtures curiosity, independence, and joy. We incorporate Montessori-inspired practices into our daily routine, such as fostering independence, encouraging hands-on exploration, and supporting children as capable, confident learners.

We also believe strongly in the power of play-based learning. Play is a child’s natural way of understanding the world, building social connections, and developing problem-solving skills. By blending Montessori methods with play-based experiences, our program offers a rich and balanced approach where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Through purposeful activities and meaningful play, children at Rising Sun develop:

Practical Life Skills – independence, responsibility, and confidence in everyday tasks.

Sensorial Awareness – opportunities to explore, classify, and make sense of the world through their senses.

Language & Literacy – a strong foundation in communication, vocabulary, reading, and writing through stories, songs, and conversation.

Mathematical Thinking – early number sense and problem-solving through hands-on materials and playful discovery.

Cultural & Science Exploration – curiosity about the world, nature, and people through experiments, storytelling, and creative projects.


Our approach combines the structure and intentionality of Montessori with the creativity and flexibility of play-based learning—helping each child grow into a confident, curious, and capable individual.
