Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Cheesemonger to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for cheese and exceptional customer service skills.

What you'll be doing:
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in selecting cheeses and other specialty products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cheese counter and surrounding areas
- Conduct product demonstrations and samples to educate customers about different cheeses and pairings
- Suggest products to enhance customer experience
- Create visually appealing displays to showcase the cheese selection

- Creative product development and merchandising, such picnic "baskets"

- Work with vendors to bring in new exciting products

- Choose weekly feature items to promote

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in a specialty food store
- Proficiency in cash handling and operating a cashier system
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus (Bilingual or Multilingual)
- Passion for cheese with knowledge of different varieties and origins
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
