Mixed Sweet Media (MSW) is a full-service marketing agency located in Calgary. Our services include web development, graphic design, photography, videography, social media management, brand creation, marketing strategies & more. We provide our clients with high-quality, value-added services, maintaining their marketing activities to ensure success in both the B2B & B2C space.

We are seeking a talented Junior Web Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering high-quality video content that meets the needs of clients. The Junior Web Developer will work closely with clients and our internal marketing, communications, and content teams to build, test, manage, and maintain websites that bring excellent user experience and functionality to our clients target consumers.

Responsibilities:

Utilize tools such as Figma and Adobe XD to create website wireframes and mockups, ensuring a clear visual representation of proposed designs.

Convert various media components including video, audio, written content, and graphics into compatible formats suitable for web integration.

Develop and maintain a production schedule to ensure that all website projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.

Stay informed about programming trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web development. Make recommendations for implementing new and innovative website features and functionalities.

Collaborate with external partners, including web designers and coders, as necessary to execute projects effectively.

Build, test, manage, and maintain website backends using platforms such as WordPress and Contentful, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.

Qualifications:

2-3 years of experience in web development, including planning, and building high-quality websites.

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages.

Experience with website design tools such as Figma and Adobe XD.

Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress and Contentful.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates must submit a portfolio that demonstrates expertise in web design and development to be considered for the position.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $48,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
