Social Media Marketing Specialist – Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
Location: Vancouver, BC
Position: Social Media Marketing Specialist

Are you passionate about social media and event promotion? We’re seeking a creative and results-driven Social Media Marketing Specialist to manage and elevate our presence across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. This role is crucial for optimizing our online profiles, driving engagement, and boosting ticket sales for our events in Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities:
Optimize Business Profiles & CTA Setup:
Facebook & Instagram:
Develop and maintain professional business profiles with engaging profile pictures, banner images, and deions.
Set up and optimize Call-to-Action (CTA) buttons for actions such as “Buy Ticket” or “Learn More.”
Integrate links to Ventrata booking system or ticket sales page using tools like Linktree.
Enable Instagram Shopping for direct in-app ticket purchases.
TikTok:
Utilize a Pro Business Account, optimizing the bio with a CTA link through Linktree or TikTok’s tools.
Keep the bio link updated with current event information.
Influencer & Micro-Influencer Strategy:
Search for Influencers:
Identify local influencers using platforms like Influence.co, Upfluence, or HypeAuditor.
Target influencers who engage with local events, karaoke, music, and unique experiences.
Partnership:
Reach out with personalized offers of free tickets or exclusive experiences.
Establish informal contracts for event mentions, CTA inclusion, and tagging.
Share influencer content on our profiles to expand reach.
Contest/Giveaway Setup:
Facebook & Instagram:
Create engaging giveaway posts requiring users to follow, tag friends, and share with specific hashtags.
Highlight contests in Instagram Stories and remind users of deadlines.
TikTok:
Run contests encouraging users to duet with event-related videos, requiring tags, likes, and follows.
Use hashtags like #Giveaway or #TrolleyKaraoke to drive participation.
Posting in Community-Specific Groups:
Facebook:
Join and post in local groups (e.g., “Vancouver Events,” “Things to Do in Vancouver”) with compelling CTAs.
Instagram:
Share posts in local community accounts and use hashtags like #VancouverEvents or #YVRKaraoke.
User-Generated Content (UGC) & Hashtag Campaign:
Develop a unique hashtag (e.g., #TrolleyKaraokeVancouver) and encourage event participants to use it.
Repost notable UGC on Instagram Stories or TikTok, tagging and thanking contributors.
Create Story highlights or TikTok compilations featuring UGC to build social proof and FOMO.
Fun Reels & Stories:
Instagram Reels & TikTok:
Capture 15-30 second clips of karaoke performances on the trolley, using trending music and engaging captions.
Use captions like “Get your tickets now for an unforgettable karaoke experience!” with a direct link in bio.
Story Ads:
Run Instagram Story Ads with behind-the-scenes content and a swipe-up CTA.
Business Partnerships:
Collaborate with local businesses (e.g., bars, restaurants) for co-branded posts and promotions.
Use Instagram’s collaborator feature for joint posts and request partners to include your event in their newsletters and stories.
Paid Social Ads:
Targeting:
Create localized ad campaigns using Facebook Ads Manager or TikTok Ads.
Target demographics based on interests (karaoke, nightlife, live music) and geo-fence areas near events.
Apply urgency in ad copy, such as “Only 10 tickets left” or “Join us this weekend!”
Creative:
Design carousel ads or short videos showcasing past events or event teasers for Instagram and TikTok.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in social media marketing for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Strong knowledge of social media tools and analytics.
Creative skills with a knack for engaging content creation.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
