Description
What will you work on?
The Sr. Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining datacentre computer systems and network infrastructure to ensure their availability, reliability, and security. This role involves overseeing servers, storage systems, and network configurations.
How will you create impact?
- Provide help desk support on all IT aspects including hardware, software and network troubleshooting
- Maintain high system availability and ensure all applications work properly.
- Perform regular system monitoring, data backup, server administration, application and network device performance and provide troubleshooting when problem arise
- Perform server setup, compliance checking and administration on company infrastructure
- Assist in project implementation and develop and establish IT policies and guidelines
- Propose and execute continuous improvements on infrastructure operations.
- Manage the documentation of all changes, upgrades and new implementations as appropriate
What are your skills and experience?
- Proficient in managing both physical and virtual servers running various Windows server operating systems
- Extensive experience with on-premise storage systems, such as SAN or local NFS technologies.
- Strong knowledge of patching methodologies and best practices
- Expertise in Windows Server administration including Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS management
- Advanced proficiency in VMware administration
- Familiarity with Hitachi server systems
- Experience managing NAS environments such as Synology systems.
- Proficiency in Veeam backup solutions
- Competence in managing SQL databases
- Knowledge of network policies and experience configuring network policy servers
- Capacity for learning new technologies and adapting to evolving IT environments
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional are a plus.
- Proficient in managing SSL/TLS certificates for servers and applications
- Experience with certificate lifecycle management
