Communication and Virtual Assitance
Pyrethra is a Technology Advisory and Consulting Corporation (startup) based in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada with both national and international service scope. Pyrethra is seeking to hire a Communication, public relations and marketing contractor who has the overall responsibility to deliver the communication, public relations, and marketing strategy to achieve business objectives.
The contractor must have a passion/ strong interest for technology related topics and keep abreast with emerging trends in the technology sector and how they impact various industries. The contractor shall:
Communication
1. Keep up with technology current trends and technology-related current affairs in Canada and around the world.
2. Research and engaging write blogs post, multimedia interviews of industry thought leaders, clients and other stakeholders of interest to build a community around the Pyrethra brand.
3. Produce, capture, edit and proof-read external facing content including multimedia products including video, audio, written materials.
4. Educate members of the public about Pyrethra’s work through various strategies including but not limited to blogging, training sessions, interviews of Pyrethra customers/ industry thought leaders, podcasting.
5. Support internal and external engagements in a pro-active manner.
6. Protect Pyrethra reputation by foreseeing and managing any potential public/public issue promptly and in a manner aimed reaching consensus and conflict resolution.
7. Develop and maintain Pyrethra brand style across all communication materials and platforms.Oversee Pyrethra’s brand by monitoring content tone and adherence to branding.
8. Develop and implement marketing metrics to measure marketing impact on sales and public engagement.
10. Update content on Pyrethra’s website
Virtual Assistance
1. Receive and respond to phone calls, emails and other communication received through Pyrethra’s platforms
2. Develop, maintain and disseminate Pyrethra’s newsletters and mailing lists
3. Coordinate, schedule calendar and tracking tasks, to ensure
4. Book Travel and accommodation
5. Create engaging presentation
6. Track spending and prepare expense report
Minimum qualifications
1. At least 5 years of relevant experience in communication, journalism, public relations, paralegal and digital content creation
2. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in communication, international relations
3. Proven experience in content development including social media content, vlogging podcasting, and blogging ideally in a corporate setting.
4. Proven experience in monitoring and assessing communication and virtual assistance.
5. Digital skills and paralegal experience is highly desirable.
6. High level of integrity and efficiency in delivering tasks
7. Excellent public speaking skills and able to interact in a professional and diplomatic manner with an audience of senior industry experts, public officials and business executives.
8. Eligible to work in Canada and located in Toronto
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Salary: $35,009.62-$125,507.60 per year
