So close you can feel it! Bringing the sports bar experience to another level, this venue offers an exciting, high-energy space to get in on the action. Immersed in the electric atmosphere of Rogers Arena, fans watch the game surrounded by heart-pounding audio-visuals. Executive Chef Robert Bartley’s menu – sports bar favourites re-imagined using fresh, local ingredients – is perfect for sharing and is complemented by signature cocktails, craft beers, wines, and spirits.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Sportsbar, a live sports and dining experience that puts you right in the game, is looking for the best talent in the industry! As part of our premium hospitality team, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting guests at the reservations desk inside the Sportsbar. This is an hourly, events-based, part-time position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Other tasks may be assigned as required)
- Provide best-in-class service to season ticket holders, VIPs, and Sportsbar guests
- Greet and assist guests as necessary upon arrival
- Proactively engage with fans in an effort to create a friendly and personal connection
- Work collaboratively as a key member of a larger team across the organization and continuously interact in a positive and professional manner
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays with varying start times
- Must be able to safely lift up to 35 lbs
- Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time
- Have an incredible ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high volume environment while maintaining a first-in-class hospitality and food and beverage experience
- Strong communication skills, including listening skills and ability to communicate with guests and respond to inquiries
- If you are a non-Canadian resident, you must hold a valid work permit that expires no earlier than July 2019
