About the job

 

 

Responsibilities But Not Limited To


 

  • Review Operating Expense invoices and related documents

 

  • Prepare Journal Entries related to operating expenses – including those related to accruals, prepaid expenses, and amortization

 

  • Prepare Journal Entries for the manually processed operating expense transactions

 

  • Expense reimbursement and invoice reconciliation with general ledger accounts

 

  • Record and maintain fixed asset purchases

 

  • Monthly closing and review P&L report to analyze the expense trends

 

  • Process monthly Rent payments including review of the Lease Agreements

 

  • Communication with the landlords for the billing and payment related issues

 

  • Communicate with regional offices and stores to resolve operating expenses invoice and payment related issues

 

  • Response to any inquiries regarding payments from vendors or other departments

 

  • Provide requested operating expense supporting documents to the other department

 

  • Other Ad Hoc special projects
     

 

Qualifications / Skills
 

 

  • Must be eligible to work in the US

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business related fields – Finance, Economics, or Statistics preferred. (Candidate’s equivalent experience and accounting principle knowledge may be considered instead of the degree requirement.)

 

  • 1-2 years’ experience in an applicable field is preferred, but not required. H Mart has an extensive training program and candidates with the equivalent office experience will be considered.

 

  • General understanding of accounting processes and functions

 

  • Excellent communication skill and ability to work in a cross functional team environment

 

  • Collaborating with team members to facilitate group work

 

  • Working knowledge of Excel and Word

 

  • Experience with computerized accounting systems (SAP R3 experience a plus)

 

  • Must speak, read and write Korean /Basic English comprehension required.
