Description
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Optometry Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support and ensure efficient office operations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow in an administrative role.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional manner
- Answer and direct phone calls using proper phone etiquette
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Manage office supplies and inventory levels
- Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and emails
- Support office staff with administrative tasks as needed
- Glasses Adjustments
- Contact Lens Ordering
- Specialist Referrals
Requirements:
- 1-2 years optical experience
- Familiarity with phone systems and administrative procedures
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of medical office operations is a plus
