Description
Metro Wallcoverings, the leading manufacturer and distributor of decorative commercial products to the Architect and Design community for over forty years, is looking for a Customer Service/ Branch Operations Supervisor for our Vancouver office. POSITION
TITLE: Customer Service/ Branch Operations Supervisor
SCOPE: In this role you will supervise, organize, direct and control the daily operating activities of the Vancouver branch. This includes shipping, receiving, warehousing, sampling distribution and occasional freight. Additionally, the CSR/Branch Supervisor will continue to perform customer service activities and provide sales support working closely with the Regional Sales Manager.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Oversees the daily workflow and efficiency of the branch.
- Directs the daily activities of the customer service team at the branch.
- Ensures a safe operating environment for the branch.
- Processes and tracks orders, credits, debits and customer quotes
- Provides inside sales support where needed for the Vancouver sales team.
- Provides customers with pricing, product availability information, order status information and debit-credit information.
- Works closely with the Regional Sales Manager to coordinate sales support to meet customer expectations.
- Assists other departments with administrative matters, department supervision and nontechnical operations.
- Makes recommendations to improve department operations and policies.
- Works closely with departments at head office to meet customer requirements and resolve issues as they arise.
- Follows the company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
- College /University Degree
- 1-3 years supervisory experience in a fast-paced customer focused environment or equivalent.
- Has supervisor experience.
- Effectively communicate information and ideas in written and oral formats
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizing skills.
- Computer literate
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Works well in a team environment
- Results oriented.
- Works well in a fast-paced environment
- Problem solving
